Where can I ship crab cakes?Products may be shipped anywhere in the continental United States. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. How much is the shipping cost? You can use our online order form to get a shipping quote. Follow the steps as if you were going to place an actual order and, before you complete the order, you will receive a shipping quote. NOTE: Do not confirm the order if you do not wish to finish the transaction. How long in advance can I place my order?Customers can place an order online as long as the delivery date is available in the options. Alternatively, you can use the “Automatic Delivery” option to select a delivery date in the future (2 or more delivery dates are necessary to use this function). When can I ship crab cakes? We only ship Monday through Thursday. How will my order be shipped? We ship our orders standard (one or two day ground), two day air, or overnight. How is my product shipped and will it spoil before it arrives?Chesapeake Bay Crab Cake Company products are shipped via FedEx Overnight, one day ground, two day air and ground. The products are hand made, flash frozen, and then shipped out to you. All products are stored below zero until shipped. The products are shipped in coolers with enough dry ice to hold them for two days. When will my crab cakes arrive? For same day shipping, orders need to be placed by noon that day. Orders received after noon will most likely go out the next available day (Standard Shipping: Monday through Wednesday; Overnight Shipping: Monday through Thursday). The crab cakes typically arrive by 3 pm the day after shipping. For transit times to your area please visit www.fedex.com. Does someone need to be there to accept the delivery? No, although if the package is left and something happens to it and/or it is left outside too long, we can not be held responsible. Whenever possible, we recommend sending it to a work address. How do I dispose of the dry ice after the package arrives? To keep your products frozen and preserve product freshness, your package will be shipped using dry ice (solid carbon dioxide (CO2)). Dry ice is extremely cold and may cause burns if handled without gloves. If some dry ice remains, please handle with care, leaving any remaining dry ice in the cooler to evaporate. Do not dispose of the dry ice in any porcelain utilities. Dry ice can be damaging to your sink or other porcelain utilities. Dry ice should be disposed of by placing the Polystyrene Container outside or in a well ventilated area and allowing the dry ice to evaporate. |
